6 Stage Heavy Duty Countertop RO system with Alkaline stage has following stages:
  • 1st stage: Premium Quick-Connect 5 micron sediment filter. Dust and rust particles are trapped here in the filter which also extends the life of the RO system and the membrane.
  • 2nd stage: Premium USA-made Quick-Connect T28 coconut activated carbon filter – VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and other common chemicals are removed from the water in this stage. This filter removes chlorine, chloramine, pesticides and herbicides, benzene, trihalomethane (THM) compounds, radon, solvents and hundreds of other man-made chemicals found in tap water,  This stage removes offensive odors, colors, and unpleasant taste.
  • 3rd stage: Premium High Rejection TFC type Reverse Osmosis membrane (membrane made in USA).  96%-98% of total dissolved solids (TDS) and other elements are removed in this stage. What to expect.
  • If your tap (source) water is around 300 ppm, after last stage Alkaline filter – 40-70 ppm in TDS and around 8.5-9 in pH.  Test needs to be performed not earlier than 4-6 days of regular use.
  • RO System dimension: 14″x6″x6″.
  • This RO system produces 1 gallon of water every 11-22 min (very slow, water purification output depends on membrane GPD rating, water dripping not flowing). We highly recommend collecting water in advance (every day or every second day) to always have it on hand. Don’t be surprised, Countertop RO systems purify water 8-10 times longer than a regular water filter.
  • Every RO system in the world split water into 2 flows pure and waste water. The ratio is 1 part of pure water for 2.4 parts of waste water. This is how Reverse Osmosis technology works.

    This portable RO system proves to be highly effective. I have been using this unit for nearly a year, utilizing it three times a week to produce pure water. While primarily intended for my fish tanks, I also make use of the water for preparing tea and coffee. It is worth noting that this system does generate some waste, consuming approximately 3 gallons of water to produce one gallon of pure water.

    If a portable unit is a necessity for you, I wholeheartedly recommend this one. I have the kit that enables it to be attached to my kitchen sink. It performs well in this configuration, but if you have the option, I would suggest considering a permanent installation under the sink. While this portable unit functions admirably, it may be slightly less efficient compared to a mounted unit. It’s important to exercise caution and avoid applying excessive pressure when using the adapter that attaches to the kitchen faucet.

    Fortunately, I have not encountered the need to replace the membrane yet. My TDS meter consistently reads between 39 to 46, which is sufficient for my requirements.

    Best and affordable water filter for my apartment. After realizing the amount of toxins present in our water, we decided to buy a filter. We did try buying water from outside. So we decided to give Reverse Osmosis filter a try. After reading reviews about different filters, it became a very confusing decision to make. Some filters have 4 stages, some have 5, and some have 6. So we decided to go with the 6 stage filter. My husband set it up but he had to remove a hose in our kitchen faucet. After removing the faucet, it was pretty easy to set it up. There are 2 pipes, 1 pipe is will be attached to the faucet and other pipe throws away the unfiltered water. We usually collect the discharged water since it is same as unfiltered regular tap water. We use it to rinse the dishes or clean fruits/vegetables.

    After first day of drinking this filtered water, I was so shocked. It was literally sweet. It removed so many toxins from my water. It felt like, I was drinking bottled water. I love this RO , cannot imagine how will I live my life without it!
